Emirates News Agency – Rubu’ Qarn celebrates the next generation of programmers


SHARJAH, 1st November, 2022 (WAM) — In line with the Emirate of Sharjah’s aim to ensure that children and young people are skilled in programming, the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and innovators held a closing ceremony for Project “The Programmer of the Century” during the “UAE Codes Day” at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park. The theme of the ceremony was “The UAE is programming”, and 127 graduates were honored.

The winners of the project’s final competition, themed “We are creating a better future”, have been revealed. The goal of the competition was to get young people interested in technical education and using technology to solve real-world problems.

During the closing ceremony, 46 different projects were presented. Each has made a unique contribution to finding solutions to the problems facing different groups of people.

At the end of the event, Jassim Al Balushi, Rubu’ Qarn Foundation Board Member, said: “This program is the start of a plan to build the skills of Rubu’ Qarn Foundation members. Qarn in the scientific and technical course. We are proud that our heroes participate in competitions both at home and abroad, and we want to improve the chances of participants in such programs to help them invest in their programming careers.
